Toddler 1 & 2
Toddler 1 & 2 are two separate rooms, enabling walkers and crawlers to have their own space, to explore their surroundings safely. The two rooms work very closely together to share a wide variety of resources and designated play areas. Children are grouped by age and stage of development.
Key Workers further establish secure relationships with children and families responding to children’s interests in supporting their learning and development and sharing information about the children with their families.
Nursery routines are introduced to structure the day establishing healthy patterns for living including regular snack and mealtimes, rest times, indoor and outdoor play times and individual and small group times, all of which promote children’s health and well being.
Indoors and outdoors children are provided complete access to all toys and activities supporting the development of every child’s confidence and independence.
Toddler 1 and 2 also follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, observing and planning for each individual child. In these 2 rooms your child will be developing their physical skills, from gross motor to fine motor manuvers.
Whether your child is moving into Toddler 1 from the baby room, or starting the nursery in this room they will be settled in at their own pace, getting to know other children and the staff. We value the opportunity for you to tell us about your child and their needs.
